Local Airports

The closest airport to Williamsburg is Newport News-Williamsburg (PHF), 25 minutes from the hotel. Both Richmond International (RIC) and Norfolk (ORF), are a 50 minute drive. Avoiding rush hour is recommended for Norfolk flights; traffic can be heavy and backups at the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel generate delays.

Conference Badges

Name badges are issued to those who have purchased a conference registration. Badges are color coded to indicate registration classification:

  • White badges indicate fleet representatives, press, retirees and staff.
  • Blue badges are manufacturer and service provider representatives.
  • Green badges are for registered spouses and social guests.

In lieu of tickets, name badges serve as admission to the meals and events sponsored by the EUFMC. Name badges are required for admission to Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday dinners and the Sunday Spouse Reception. Thank you for wearing your name badge in plain sight so that you are easily identified as part of the EUFMC group.

Dress Code

  • Monday Equipment Events: Shorts or casual pants; sunscreen highly recommended.
  • Daytime Meetings Attire: Business casual
  • Evening Attire: Men in collared shirts, jackets preferred and ties optional; women in dresses, suits or pantsuits

Comfortable shoes are suggested as outdoor walkways are brick and gravel.
See dress code notes in the Conference Schedule and view the Photo Gallery for examples.

Family Participation

Registering spouses and social guests is encouraged. Spouses/ social guests must purchase a registration to attend evening banquet meals and participate in the spouse activities.

Williamsburg is a wonderful family location. Children are welcome on the Saturday evening activity and the Sunday Afternoon Walking Tour. Children do not attend events that require a name badge admission including the Sunday Spouse Reception, spouse programs and evening banquet dinners. Since alcoholic beverages are served, children should not attend privately sponsored hospitality events.

EUFMC Attendees Say

The 2023 EUFMC was my first time attending, and I thought being in a sea of my peers learning from one another was fantastic. I do appreciate how everyone who presented showed their company information, the entire agenda was easy to follow, and everyone representing the conference was so friendly and welcoming.
